Why is humanity so cursed?

It's easy to fall into despair when one considers all the atrocities occurring in our world. It's even easier to blame God for it and lose all hope in humanity. When this temptation strokes your soul, I invite you to turn to Scripture and prayer.

"Do not invite death by the error of your life, nor bring on destruction by the works of your hands; because God did not make death, and He does not delight in the death of the living." Wisdom 1:12-13

"...God created man for incorruption, and made him in the image of His own eternity, but through the devil's envy death entered the world, and those who belong to his party experience it." Wisdom 2: 23-24

In prayer, ask God to grace your soul with an abundance of Hope and trust in Him. Pray the Divine Mercy chaplet - because Jesus tells us that He does not want souls to perish. We must go to Him. "How very much I desire the salvation of souls." (Diary of St. Faustina, 1784) "Let the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all would be drowned in the unmeasurable depths of My mercy." (Diary, 1059)

My friends, humanity is a gift - a gift of life and a gift we can give to God if we choose. We can give ourselves to Him - all our suffering, all our hopes - our everything! We can do it each day, over and over and over as often as we choose. Let us embrace our humanity and give it to Jesus with love.
